And just when you think you might make a change, a completely new health study comes out saying the opposite of the first health study. So, is it better to eat the whole egg or is it healthier to eat just egg whites? Is caffeine good for you or not?

The 2018 Travelers Risk Index Highlights Misperceptions About Distracted Driving

The Travelers Institute to discuss findings at the Every Second Matters℠ event in Denver as part of Distracted Driving Awareness Month

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRV) today announced the results of the first release of the 2018 Travelers Risk Index, which focuses on distracted driving and perception of risks among drivers and passengers. Consistent with previous years, an overwhelming majority of people surveyed said that distracted driving is a concern. Eighty-five percent said it is extremely risky to use smartphones or tablets while driving, yet nearly a quarter of respondents said they do it.

Frozen Pipes and Other Ice and Snow Damage

Your pipes freeze and burst, damaging your home.  Do you have coverage?  Most homeowners insurance policies, except for the very basic ones, cover damage to the home resulting from broken pipes due to freezing.  For example, your insurance company will pay to clean or pay the cost to replace the carpet, furniture and other property that has been damaged due to the water from bursting pipes, less your deductible.  For those with renters insurance, damage to your personal property from the water due to the burst pipes would be covered.  If the damage is so extensive that you can’t stay in your apartment, your insurance company will pay your additional living expenses as well.
